- Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for 3 hours.
- Recycling of one glass container saves enough energy to light a 100-watt bulb for 4 hours.
- Recycling one pound of plastic would power a room-size electric heater for about two hours.
- Every recycled pound of steel saves enough energy to light a 60-watt bulb for over 26 hours.
- Recycled paper uses 80% less water, 65% less energy and produces 95% less air pollution than producing new paper.
- A recycled ton of paper saves 17 trees, 7000 gallons of water, and the energy equivalent of 185 gallons of gas.
